Stipend: The stipend will vary based on qualifications and will be paid as follows:
- Diploma/Advanced Certificate: R5,000 per month
- Bachelor’s Degree: R5,500 per month
- Post Graduate Diploma Professional Qualification and Honours Degree: R6,500 per month

Graduate Internship Programme 2023/2024 – 24 Months

The Department of Defence (DOD) is inviting qualified applicants to apply for the Graduate Internship Programme for the Financial Year 2023/2024. Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be unemployed
- Have never participated in any Internship programme in the Public Service
- Be between the ages of 18-35
Application Requirements:
Applicants should submit the following:
- A fully completed and signed new Z83 form (obtainable from any Public Service department or the DPSA website) : https://www.dpsa.gov.za/newsroom/psvc/
- A comprehensive CV containing contactable references
- Shortlisted candidates must actively ensure that they submit certified copies of their qualifications before the day of the interview.
Please include the relevant reference number in the application form.
Note:
- Applicants who have participated in any other Government Internship and Learnership Programmes before will not be considered.
- Students requiring experiential training as part of their qualification must attach a formal letter from their Tertiary Institution.
- Failure to submit all the requested documents will result in the application not being considered.
- The selection process will actively include conducting Personnel Suitability Checks, which comprise a criminal record check and security clearance.
- Faxed or e-mailed applications will not be accepted.
