Workshop Technician Sales & Service Responsibility

As a workshop technician in this learnership program at Dräger South Africa, you’ll dive into the intricacies of service strategies within your functional area. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the workshop achieves its objectives by monitoring and optimizing the performance of your service function. Through hands-on experience, you’ll learn to service, maintain, and repair relevant equipment, conduct pre-delivery checks, and uphold the care, maintenance, and calibration standards for test equipment. Additionally, you’ll manage designated tools and equipment efficiently to support the workflow and contribute to meeting service budgets aligned with company strategy.

Compliance and Communication

Ensuring compliance is paramount in your role. You’ll adhere to the Principles of Business and Conduct within the Dräger Group and local regulations. Occupational safety and health laws will be diligently followed to maintain a safe working environment. Moreover, you’ll support brand recognition at the branch level and facilitate internal communications within the workshop. Relationship management with distributors, customers, and fellow employees will be integral to fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

Regulatory Affairs and Quality Management

In collaboration with the service and quality managers, you’ll navigate the process of obtaining and maintaining relevant certifications such as ISO. Compliance with corporate quality and environmental policies will be a priority, as well as implementing effective processes to ensure adherence to relevant directives, standards, and industry requirements. Your role will contribute to effective day-to-day quality management across various departments, including business, regulatory, testing, customer relations, service, and logistics.
