The Department of Community Safety and Transport Management is inviting applications for the Traffic Officers Diploma Learnership. This program aims to equip unemployed youth with the necessary knowledge and skills in Traffic Law Enforcement.

Details of the Learnership Program are as follows:

Program Name: Learnership in Road Traffic Law Enforcement

  • Unemployed youth aged between 18 and 35
  • Grade 12 Certificate/National Certificate (vocational)
  • Security Clearance from SAPS
  • Medical report confirming fitness for strenuous exercise/training
  • Valid driver’s license
  • No visible tattoos
    Stipend: R3000 per month
    Note: Candidates who have previously participated in a Learnership program in Public Service will not be considered.

(a) Applications must include a signed Z83 form, an updated comprehensive CV with three referees, certified copies of a Grade 12 certificate, an ID document, a required driving license, and a Security Clearance from SAPS. Not providing the requested documents will lead to the disqualification of the application.
(b) All qualifications will be verified. Candidates with foreign qualifications must provide an evaluation certificate from the South African Qualification Authority (SAQA).
(c) Candidates should indicate the post/reference number in their applications.

(e) Submit your applications within the specified closing date. We will not accept late applications, including those sent by fax or email.
(f) Candidates must be available for selection interviews at a date, time, and place determined by the Department.
(g) The Department reserves the right to only correspond with shortlisted candidates.
(h) Previous employment records will be verified. All appointments are subject to positive qualifications verification, security clearance, and vetting.
