Job Purpose:

Are you passionate about data and research? Join a dynamic team as a Skills Planning and Research Intern at AgriSETA. In this role, you’ll provide essential support within the Skills Planning and Research Division, contributing to accurate data management and analysis.

Role Context:
As a Skills Planning and Research Intern, you’ll collaborate closely with the division, engaging in data capturing and control activities to ensure the accuracy and reliability of AgriSETA’s information.

Key Performance Areas:
As a Skills Planning and Research Intern, you’ll engage in various key performance areas:

Data Capturing:

  • Maintain and update AgriSETA’s database for efficient data retrieval.
  • Implement quality control measures to validate data accuracy.
  • Provide weekly data reports to the Assistant Manager.
  • Extract and send reports from the management information system.
  • Prepare and submit SETMIS and performance information reports.
  • Perform data trend analysis and maintain proof of captured information.
  • Verify, enroll, and authorize learner information across programs.

Management of Data:

  • Compile and manage data sets as needed.


  • Assist with basic administrative tasks.
  • Maintain administrative processes within the division.

Ad Hoc:

  • Undertake duties assigned by the Assistant Manager.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • N6 / Diploma or Equivalent in Office Admin/Management or related fields.

Required Competencies:

  • Advanced skills in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong administrative skills.
  • Attention to accuracy.
  • Collaborative team player.
