What You’ll Be Doing

Practical Exposure and Experience

As a Quality Control and Assurance Intern, you’ll immerse yourself in various aspects of QC/QA processes. This includes:

Laboratory and Online Quality Control

  • Conducting tests on raw materials, in-process, and final products.
  • Reporting deviations in food safety and quality control.
  • Participating actively in INVOCOMS.
  • Conducting test baking of premix products for approval.

Supporting Food Safety Culture

  • Contributing to the implementation of the food safety culture plan on-site.
  • Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety standards.

Administrative Duties

  • Capturing data in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and issuing Certificates of Analysis (COAs).
  • Maintaining accurate records of workplace exposure and experience in compliance with institutional reporting requirements.

Qualification and Experience Requirements


  • Grade 12 completion.
  • Currently studying towards a National Diploma in Biotechnology, Food Technology, or Analytical Chemistry (final year).
  • Possession of a tertiary institution logbook documenting relevant exposure and experience.
