REMUNERATION: The annual salary for this position amounts to R125 373. Classified as Level 02, which is a competitive and rewarding compensation package.

LOCATION: This role is situated at Joint Operations, SA Special Forces, specifically in the Special Forces Supply Unit located in Wallmansthal, an esteemed and strategic location.


To be eligible for this position, candidates should have completed ABET Level 1-4 (equivalent to Grades 3-9). Or possess a similar qualification, ensuring a solid educational foundation. A valid Driver’s License with Code EB is a mandatory requirement, guaranteeing the necessary credentials for the role. Given the geographical location of the unit, candidates residing in proximity will receive preference, emphasizing the importance of local accessibility. Essential skills and abilities for this role include proficient management of transport systems. Effective trip planning, and adeptness in road movement, signify the driver’s vital role in smooth operations.


The responsibilities associated with this role encompass the proper maintenance, serviceability, and overall care of vehicles, ensuring their optimal functioning. The driver is accountable for establishing a dependable transportation system for the unit. Which includes the delivery of mail and transportation of unit members. Playing a pivotal role in maintaining effective communication and logistical support. Regular vehicle inspections and participation in stable parade activities are also part of the driver’s duties, reflecting their commitment to precision and discipline.
