Overall Job Purpose: To perform cleaning duties as assigned by the Cleaning Supervisor, following prescribed methods and schedules outlined in the cleaning specifications.

Business Unit Administration and Office Support

  1. Empty waste bins and transport waste material to designated collection points.
  2. Clean all offices, venues, general kitchens, corridors, elevators, public areas, and restrooms according to the daily/weekly schedule.
  3. Prepare facilities for meetings and training sessions.
  4. Clean walls, windows, doors, and empty and clean waste bins.
  5. Use electrically powered scrubbing and polishing machines to burnish, scrub, polish, and spray clean floors after proper instruction and training.
  6. Operate electrically powered pick-up machines.
  7. Dust, damp wipe, wash, or polish furniture, ledges, window sills, external surfaces of cupboards, shelves, and fitments.
  8. Replenish consumable items such as soap, toilet rolls, and paper towels used during the cleaning service.
  9. Clean toilets, urinals, hand basins, sinks, baths, showers, and drinking fountains.
  10. Safely use chemical agents as directed by the Supervisor Cleaning, following proper instructions and training.
  11. Adhere to the cleaning checklist and ensure daily completion, signing off as required.
  12. Clean machines and equipment after use.
  13. Report any faults or broken cleaning machines and equipment to the Supervisor Cleaning for repairs.
  14. Be available to handle emergencies and provide relief when requested by the supervisor.
  15. Ensure proper completion of issue forms when collecting products and equipment.
  16. Wear the appropriate CGS personal protective equipment (PPE) as required for each task.
  17. Adhere to the Occupational Health & Safety Act and related regulations when using tools, equipment, and machinery.


  • Strong team player
  • Effective communication skills
  • Competence in operating cleaning machinery and equipment
  • Familiarity with cleaning materials, techniques, and protocols.
  • Proficient in cleaning and housekeeping techniques
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills
  • Reliable and hardworking


  • ABET Certification/ Grade 10, and/or Certificate in Cleaning and Housekeeping.
    A minimum of six months of pertinent work experience is required.
  • Ability to read and write will be an advantage.
