Job Title: Warehouse Worker
Location: Samrand Business Park, Gauteng
Working Hours: 9 hours per shift
Salary: To be confirmed per month
Employment Type: Permanent – Full-time
Work Schedule: 6 shifts per week
Start Date: ASAP

Job Description: This summary provides an overview of the responsibilities to help you determine your suitability for the role.

Material Handler Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute tasks following WMS and customer protocol in receiving, putting away, picking, and packing
  • Prepare for receiving by de-stacking pallets
  • Check inbound shipment paperwork from suppliers
  • Label products during stock receiving
  • Adhere to checklist document control from the Admin
  • Ensure proper storage of stock in the correct departments per Hazchem class
  • Apply correct labels (HU, DU, product ID, dispatch labels) throughout warehouse movements
  • Pick correct products and quantities based on RF scanner indications and WMS protocol
  • Record picking in hand over despatch control sheet
  • Report any discrepancies in job functions to the Admin and team leader
  • Pack stock according to client and Hazchem specifications
  • Perform stock take when required
  • Conduct cycle counting
  • Report all safety incidents
  • Comply with PPE standards
  • Meet daily quality standards for receiving, putting away, picking, and packing

Preferences: Meeting the following preferences would be advantageous but not mandatory:

  • Matric qualification
  • South African candidates
  • Experience as a Warehouse Worker
  • Proficiency in English
  • Reside within 15km of the job location
  • Clear criminal record
  • Experience with comp, RF scanner, and WMS
  • Dangerous Goods Handling Certificates
  • Forklift license, Reach truck, and Order picker license
