Job Description:

The primary objective of the Store Manager position is to lead a store team and effectively meet key performance indicators (KPIs) that drive the success of the business. This includes driving sales, implementing cost control measures, mitigating risks and stock loss, managing administrative tasks, and maintaining exceptional store standards.

Responsibilities:

The following duties and responsibilities will be assigned to the Store Manager:

  1. Increasing Sales: The Store Manager will prioritize customer service and strive for world-class store standards. This involves maintaining the store’s image, efficiently managing stock, and implementing promotional strategies to drive sales.
  2. Stock Loss Mitigation: By fostering a healthy store culture and adhering to security measures, stock, and cash handling procedures, the Store Manager will minimize stock loss and protect company assets.
  3. The Store Overseer will drive efficiencies within the store to uphold the company’s low-cost culture, ensuring effective implementation of cost control measures.
  4. The Store Manager is responsible for carrying out all administrative tasks within the store in accordance with company guidelines, ensuring smooth operations.
  5. Team Leadership: The Store Manager will lead a dynamic team of enthusiastic individuals, referred to as Dynamos. This includes training team members, providing coaching and support, and overseeing their performance.
  6. Standards Maintenance: The Store Manager will uphold general health, safety, and housekeeping standards to create a safe and pleasant environment for both customers and employees.

Job Requirements:

To be considered for the Store Manager position, the following requirements must be met:

  1. Grade 12 education.
  2. Proficiency in English.
  3. Relevant tertiary education: Possession of a degree or diploma in a business or retail-related field would be advantageous.
  4. Retail Leadership Experience: Ideally, the candidate should have 1-2 years of experience in a retail environment, specifically in a leadership role.
  5. Computer Literacy: Proficiency in Microsoft and/or Google GSuite would be advantageous.

  6. Retail Hours: Willingness to work flexible retail hours, including weekends and public holidays.
