Job Description:
We are seeking applications from suitably qualified individuals to fill the aforementioned vacant position at Shingwedzi Rest Camp in the Nxanatseni Region of Kruger National Park.

Hut Attendant Requirements:

  • Grade 12 qualification.
  • Proficiency in hygiene and housekeeping.
  • Knowledge of workplace health and safety.
  • Proficiency in communicating effectively both in written and oral form, specifically in the English language.
  • Having supervisory skills would provide added benefits and serve as an advantageous asset in this context. Possessing the ability to effectively oversee and guide others can contribute significantly to the role and enhance overall performance and success..
  • Possessing a comprehensive knowledge and proficiency in various tools, encompassing their practical application. utilization, and ongoing maintenance, is highly beneficial for this position. A solid understanding of the tools’ functionality and the ability to effectively handle and care for them can significantly contribute to successful performance and ensure optimal operations.

Hut Attendant Responsibilities:

  • Maintain cleanliness in chalets, ablution facilities, and surrounding areas according to established standards.
  • Manage inventory items.
  • Report any abnormalities, equipment malfunctions, or maintenance issues.
  • Assist in the collection of supplies when necessary.
  • Contribute to general tasks within the Rest Camp.
  • Aid in laundry duties for the rest camp.
