Conditions:

  • Grade 12 plus NQF level 6 Qualifications in Human Resource Management/Public Management/Administration or equivalent relevant tertiary qualification recognized by SAQA.
  • Applicable/relevant executive experience.
  • Knowledge of the PERSAL System.
  • Knowledge of Human Resource policies and legislation.

Duties:

  • Collecting and organizing employee statistics on an annual basis.
  • Entering and organizing applications for employment.
  • Writing memoranda for approval (shortlisting and interviews) following departmental delegations.
  • Providing secretarial support during shortlisting and interviews.
  • Verifying appointment credentials (Personnel Suitability Checks) of shortlisted candidates.
  • Compiling/writing appointment memoranda (Temporary & Permanent) for approval by the District Director.
  • Implementing all transactions on the PERSAL System related to appointments of permanent and contract employees.
  • Facilitating employee transfers and reassignments.
  • Facilitating probationary periods.
  • Administering all Service Benefits functions.
  • Capturing/amending leave applications on the PERSAL System.
  • Auditing Leave Files and compiling annual statistics.
  • Implementing Conditions of Services (Leave, Housing, Medical, Injury on Duty, Long Service Recognition, and PILIR).

Application Process:

  • Applications should be submitted on the prescribed 2021 Z83 form, obtainable from all Government Departments or can be downloaded from www.gov.za
  • Ensure you use the most recent Z83 application for employment form as issued by the Minister for the Public Service and Administration.
  • The Z83 form must be fully completed, duly signed, dated, and initialed by the applicant.
  • Follow specific guidelines related to completing various sections of the Z83 form as specified in the job advertisement.
  • Applicants may submit additional information separately where the space provided on the Z83 form is not sufficient.
  • Applicants must include only a completed and signed Z83 form and a recently updated comprehensive CV (with detailed previous experience).
