Requirements:

  • NQF level 1 or 2 (Abet level 2 certificate or equivalent)
  • No criminal record or pending cases
  • Knowledge of Departmental policies and procedures
  • Understanding of Public Service Regulation
  • Familiarity with Batho-Pele Principles
  • Knowledge of cleaning industry health and safety guidelines
  • Competence in utilizing computer software (Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Strong customer management, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team

Responsibilities:

  • Clean kitchen utensils and equipment
  • Provide support services for catering
  • Maintain inventory of kitchen utensils and equipment
  • Adhere to hygiene and safety measures
  • Ensure quality control of all provided food
  • Dispose of garbage
  • Prepare food, snacks, and beverages
  • Set up dining areas with crockery, cutlery, and equipment
  • Serve food and beverages
  • Monitor food supplies and report waste and losses
