Summary:
An exciting opportunity is currently available for a VIP Chauffeur in the Facilities Department at Groenkloof National Park.

The compensation package includes a base salary, aligned with the remuneration scale for a role with a Paterson B2 grade, along with specified allowances and benefits outlined in the HR Tariff Document and SANParks’ Conditions of Service.

Requirements:

  • Matric/Grade 12.
  • Valid Code C1 driver’s license with a PrDP (Professional Driving Permit) for passenger transportation.
  • Minimum of five years driving experience.
  • Fundamental comprehension of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  • Exceptional driving skills and a strong focus on customer service.
  • Chauffeurs must maintain professionalism and courtesy at all times.
  • Everyone shares the responsibility for health and safety, driver safety, and adherence to driving etiquette.
  • Familiarity with general infrastructure maintenance, including building upkeep and security operations, will be advantageous.
  • Punctuality, tidiness, and reliability are essential.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Previous experience in VIP security operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional transportation services to various destinations or for special assignments.
  • Operate a pick-up and delivery service for the CEO’s office and the Board.
  • Maintain records of received and/or delivered items.
  • Collect and deliver a range of materials for the entire organization, including committee agendas, reports, manuals, and official documents.
  • Maintain accurate records, such as log sheets for utilized equipment.
  • Sort and organize incoming mail and prepare it for distribution.
  • Ensure the assigned vehicle is well-maintained on a daily basis.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned, including working outside regular hours when necessary.
  • Transport work teams and assist with ad hoc tasks when required.
  • Assist with printing and binding as needed.
  • Support other administrative responsibilities when requested.
