Job Advert Summary:
We are looking for candidates to assist in general pipeline, valve, and meter repair and maintenance.

District Aide Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 qualification.
  • 1 year of experience in a similar environment.
  • Ability to perform maintenance on pipelines.
  • Good communication skills.
  • An EB/B or Code 10 driver’s license or Motorcycle license would be advantageous.

Primary Duties:

  • Maintenance of pipelines, valves, and meters.
  • Conduct pipeline patrols by bicycle.
  • Standby duties.
  • Upkeep of grounds.
  • Cleaning of buildings and offices.

Knowledge:

  • General maintenance.
  • Safety and safe working procedures.

District Aide Skills:

  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to ride a bicycle.

Personal Assistant in Johannesburg!

Rand Water is seeking a highly skilled Personal Assistant to provide secretarial and administrative support to the Chief Technology Information Officer (CTIO) within the Shared Services portfolio. This permanent position is located in Rietvlei, Gauteng, South Africa.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Diploma or equivalent plus a Secretarial Diploma.
  • 10 years experience as a personal assistant or administration secretary to an executive or senior manager.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Teams.

Desirable Qualification:

  • Qualification in Business Management.

Desirable Experience:

  • Office Administration within the ICT or Technology environment.

Primary Duties:

  • Provide effective and efficient secretarial and administrative support to the CTIO.
  • Coordinate and manage divisional projects and directives.
  • Clear and concise communication of divisional tasks to the management team.
  • Manage the CTIO’s divisional budget.
  • Coordinate clerical functions and maintain a filing system.
  • Develop and prepare correspondence, documents, reports, and presentations.
  • Ensure compliance with payment and procurement system processes.
  • Manage divisional planning, reporting, performance information, and service delivery.
  • Overall management of the CTIO’s office.

Knowledge:

  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Finance and procurement of ICT knowledge.
  • Budget Management.
  • Presentation and graph preparation.
  • Typing, minute-taking, filing, and record-keeping.
