REQUIREMENTS:

Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent. Certification in computer literacy with MS Office suite.

Customer Information Clerk DUTIES:

  • Ensuring Accurate Client Registration: Responsible for accurately registering clients, ensuring all details are correctly captured from source documents.
  • Data Entry and Management: Record clients’ data from source documents into various database platforms, including Tier.net and other Department of Health (DoH) applications.
  • Data Verification: Collect, arrange, merge, and verify data to ensure its accuracy, maintaining the highest level of data quality.
  • Meticulous Record-Keeping: Maintain detailed and precise records of client files in strict adherence to established guidelines and protocols.
  • Report Compilation: Compile and submit weekly, monthly, and annual reports to the supervisor, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of data.
  • Data Validation: Conduct monthly data validations using designated tools, collecting data from DHIS, Tier.net, and TB modules/ETR to ensure consistency and reliability.
  • Tracing Outcomes Management: Collaborate with linkage officers, tracing nurses, and Chief Linkage Officer (CLO) to update tracing outcomes on the defaulter-tracing tool.
  • Performance Management: Adhere to the Performance Management and Development System, including contracting, quarterly reviews, and final assessments, to ensure professional growth and development.

  • Complete the new Z83 form, available from any Public Service Department or at www.dpsa.gov.za/documents
  • Ensure you fully fill, initial, and sign the Z83 form.
  • On the Z83 form, specify “Department of Health (Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital)” as the Department where the position was advertised.

Note: As per DPSA Circular 19 of 2022:
