Introduction
The main objective of this role is to ensure the efficient functioning of the dispensary and provide excellent service by maintaining high standards of pharmaceutical care. This will contribute to meeting sales and compliance targets, thereby giving the brand a competitive edge.

Job Objectives:

– Provide pharmaceutical care according to Clicks’ standards, good pharmacy practice, and within the legal scope outlined by the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC). This includes accurate and safe dispensing, generic substitution, and offering advice.
– Efficiently manage all dispensary operations, including stock management, shrinkage control, general housekeeping, and administration. Adhere to merchandising standards, SAPC regulations, and company policies.
– Focus on achieving core dispensary and clinic targets to ensure the operational viability of the dispensary.
– Oversee the training and development of Pharmacist Assistants and Pharmacist Interns, in line with SAPC requirements when necessary, to maintain a competent and motivated workforce.
– Implement customer service initiatives in the dispensary to enhance the customer experience, promote customer loyalty, and increase club card participation.
– Foster strong relationships with relevant stakeholders such as center managers, suppliers, and distribution centers to achieve business objectives and maximize opportunities.
– Ensure integration and collaboration with the clinic and healthcare aisle to offer customers a comprehensive healthcare solution.
– Uphold and promote the company’s values, aligning with the vision of becoming the preferred health and beauty retailer for customers.

Minimum Requirements
Education and Experience:
Essential: Registered Pharmacist with SAPC
Desirable: Experience in retail pharmacy
Desirable: Familiarity with Unisolve software

Job Knowledge and Skills:

– Knowledge of SAPC regulations and relevant legislation
– Commitment to ethical work practices and compliance
– Understanding of stock management, cost control, risk management, and compliance procedures
– Proficiency in patient care and professional counseling
