Salary Level: R125,373 to R145,077 per annum (Level 2)

Cleaner position Requirements:

  • ABET qualification
  • Knowledge of using various cleaning equipment and products
  • Knowledge of general hygiene practices
  • Knowledge of facility layout

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Proven client focus and orientation
  • Interpersonal and service hygiene skills
  • Basic literacy and numeracy
  • Communication skills
  • Willingness to work overtime when required

The Cleaner’s responsibilities include:

  • Performing general cleaning services in the Department according to outlined standards
  • Ensuring maintenance of storage areas
  • Operating machinery as and when required
  • Maintaining a good relationship with employees in the Department
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Complying with relevant regulations, legislation, policies, and procedures
  • Attending training courses for appropriate development as identified and agreed upon
