Applicants should hold a National Senior Certificate. While no experience is required, prior exposure to the relevant environment will be an added advantage. Knowledge of Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), National Land Transport Act (NLTA), National Road Traffic Act, Public Service Act, and Public Service Regulations is beneficial.

Administrative Clerk (Production) Duties:

As an Administrative Clerk within the District Transport Regulation sector, your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Providing assistance in administrative support, aiding in the formalization of Public Transport Operations through registration.
  • Validating documents for the registration and de-registration of public transport operators and vehicles.
  • Maintaining the registration database, including processing requests for de-registration due to death or inactivity.
  • Collaborating with local associations to notify members/relatives about de-registration requests.
  • Assisting in coordinating and facilitating the registration and de-registration processes.
  • Monitoring the compliance of registered operators and associations with minimum standards.
  • Coordinating association-related activities such as Voter Education, Nominations, Elections, and Annual General Meetings.
  • Supporting the newly elected Local Association Executive by coordinating training and assisting them in executing their duties.
